The results are in from the N4L Customer Lifecycle Survey and we’re very encouraged by the feedback!
In June this year we invited the principal of every school that had been using the Managed Network for more than six months to take part in a survey to tell us how they think we’re doing so far. We worked with the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) to design the survey, and commissioned them to independently review and analyse the results.
A big thank you to the 350 respondents – life as a principal is busy and we’re grateful you took the time to share your thoughts! The feedback we received has not only been encouraging but incredibly useful to help us review and refine our offerings.
The overarching take away is that there is an overwhelmingly positive view of N4L, our products and our people. There was also a great deal of feedback about what schools would like to see more of from us – which we have already been able to start addressing in a number areas across N4L!
The full report is available in Pond but a snapshot of the results shows:
- 94% of respondents feel more confident in implementing their digital strategy as a result of being connected to the N4L Managed Network, and this has already led to an increase in the use of digital technologies in 71% of schools.
- Our team is considered helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to the needs of schools. 97% of respondents are satisfied with N4L, with 91% believing we have a good understanding of the education sector.
- With regard to the Managed Network specifically, 90% of respondents are happy with the speed and reliability of their connection. When it comes to web filtering, 87% of respondents feel N4L’s Web Filtering is effective in meeting their needs, however there is a need for more training to increase awareness and confidence using the Web Filtering Dashboard – an area we have identified needs more attention and one we have already started to address via our recent webinar series.
- Speaking specifically of Pond, a very positive 91% are aware of Pond. 47% have already signed up themselves and 18% intend to incorporate Pond into their school-wide practice within the next six months. Qualitative feedback indicated the need for information and PD, as well as some constructive feedback about the user experience – which we have already started addressing (as our regular Pond users may have noticed) in recent updates.
In the coming months we’ll break down the results in more detail so stay tuned to this blog for future survey related posts!
