NZQA is one of the many organisations N4L is lucky enough to work closely with and we are pleased to announce the integration of NZQA into our deep search column in Pond. But, what does this mean for teachers? It means that resources available through NZQA’s website are now also easily found through Pond.
Items added to the Pond catalogue can also have the Achievement or Unit Standard associated with them attached as an Educational Suitability tag making them even easier to find and identify.
This is a massive coup for secondary teachers especially as with the introduction of buckets, teachers will now be able to group all resources for a unit or a standard together, for example, the standard outline plus exemplars plus the resources used in the classroom to get to the end result. From here, buckets will be shareable and other educators can add to them if they wish.
For providers of services or content, this means relevant NZQA standard numbers can be added to Pond catalogue items and can be discussed further in a Learning Idea alongside relevant resources.
The new integration – combined with new features like buckets and the ability to upload resources in PDF or Word format – is set to change the landscape of Pond in a huge way, for secondary teachers in particular.
Jump in, make the most of your holidays and look for all of the standards you’re assessing in these final weeks.
