Remote Access allows staff to remotely connect into school servers and work as if they are at school – from any location, as long as they have an internet connection.
The service is available to all schools using the N4L Managed Network, although it’s schools that have systems, software or file storage etc hosted on internal networks who will benefit from using it.
N4L’s new Remote Access is easier to set up, supports more operating systems and allows for additional authentication methods. There is no cost to use the service, however schools will need to carry out the implementation work themselves. To support the efforts of those charged with setting up Remote Access for their school, Administrator and End User Guides are available.
If you think this sounds like something your school could benefit from speak to your principal or ICT person, who will then need to contact N4L’s Helpdesk – 0800 LEARNING or [email protected].
