Celebrating 10 years of school & kura connections
During our short history, we’ve managed to connect 100% of eligible kura to the internet through our Managed Network. This means that in 2022 we connected, protected and supported over 2,460 kura and 840,000 ākonga and kaiako, blocking 3.2 million online security threats every school day. We couldn’t have achieved these milestones without the passion and drive from everyone involved, including the Ministry of Education, partners, shareholders, the community, and our wonderful kura.
But where to next? We’re committed to empowering kaiako and ākonga to teach and learn safely online while making a meaningful impact in the education sector. We look forward to the future and can’t wait to see where the next 10 years take us.

We’ve worked alongside the Ministry of Education, other government agencies, technology companies and community organisations to help ensure ākonga can learn safely online. One of the most recent initiatives has been working with the Ministry of Education on the Te Mana Tūhono programme to upgrade school network equipment across Aotearoa and ensure a safer, more seamless Wi-Fi experience.
Schools and kura will need smart ideas, simply delivered as technology becomes a bigger enabler of the delivery of education in Aotearoa. We’re looking forward to connecting, protecting and supporting kura to deliver great outcomes, and helping ākonga to thrive.
