Coming back into the office this week there was quite a buzz from the team lucky enough to be part of ULearn. Whether it was people we met at the stand, or those we who attended one of our breakout sessions, we met some amazingly passionate educators and there were more than a few high points!

Thanks to everyone who spoke to us on camera too – we had so many generous people we’ve ended up with 3 videos sharing the Voices of ULearn!

We don’t often get to share this kind of feedback so we also wanted to take the opportunity to share some of our highlights and key takeaways we were able to bring back and share with the wider N4L team…

“Listening to some of the teachers talk about their students. There seems to be a genuine desire from educators to share, connect and collaborate with each other to gain the best outcome for their students. The level of care and compassion they expressed was remarkable!”
Lisa Whyte, N4L Client Manager

“Spending time with educators and being immersed in the passion that is teaching was the highlight for me. I also liked playing with all the new technology toys. The education community in New Zealand is alive and well and still as passionate as ever about making a difference to the lives of the students of Aotearoa!”
Carolyn Stuart, N4L Education Sector Lead

“It was great to catch up with a number of old friends, and hearing about what they’ve been up to was great. I enjoyed presenting about N4L and the Managed Network, but more importantly hearing from enthusiastic, caring and friendly folk who are leading and supporting brilliant things in their own schools. Regardless of the technology we choose, choosing to share matters most, and being honest with each other about what we’re sharing as educators is critical.”
Tim Kong, N4L School Training Lead

“I always love seeing teachers connect face-to-face for the first time, with friends they’ve known all year. It’s so great to see how social media and collaborative projects have brought people together long before they’re in the same room. As a community, we’re still working on some of the same things but we’re getting better at it, and we’re hearing more from people talking about how to do it in real life. Lofty statements mean more when they come with personal stories of how they were put into action.”
Pete Hall, N4L Educator Engagement Lead

As one of our Client Managers who didn’t make it this year said ‘ULearn is always great, I can’t wait to get back next year!” See you in 2016!
