The rollout of N4L’s managed network is well underway and we now have 200 schools connected to the managed network. It’s an exciting place to be as we gain momentum and help more schools enjoy the benefits of fast, reliable internet!
More than 2000 schools having taken the first step to getting connected to the managed network by registering their interest, almost 400 of which have signed agreements to begin their transition in the near future.
Feedback we’ve had so far from schools already connected has not only included praise for the quality and speed of their new internet connection but also for the “seamless” experience of moving to N4L from their existing provider. We’re also hearing that users are enjoying downloading software updates quicker than ever, even for those schools that already had a fibre connection.
To find out what stage your local school is at check out our new interactive map here. The map update is a quick and easy way to track schools’ progress through the journey of connecting to the managed network, and colour coded icons show which of the four stages of the process each school is at. The big picture aim is to have all schools countrywide connected to the network by the end of 2016.
